New Bottles for 140ml Products
Organic Colour Systems - October 29th, 2024
We’re happy to share that Organic Colour Systems is moving their 140ml products to a smaller bottle. Yay!
What does this mean for you?
This change is great news for anyone who noticed a little too much empty space in the 200ml bottles. With the new 150ml bottles, you’ll still get the same 140ml of product you love, but in packaging that’s just the right size.
Which products are we talking about?
- Control Glaze
- Control Shape
- The No Limits range
When will this happen?
Control Glaze will be the first to transition, followed by Control Shape and the No Limits range. These products will gradually move into the new bottles as we sell through our existing stock, so you may notice both bottle sizes in circulation for a short time.
Discontinued Products

Just a quick heads-up—we regularly review our products to make sure we’re offering the best lineup possible, and as a result, we’re making a couple of changes:
Skin Sensitivity Test Sachets
We launched these sachets back in 2022 in collaboration with MixEz. These never really took off, and so we've listened to customer feedback and decided not to renew this partnership.
Effective immediately, these are now out of stock and no longer available to purchase.
70ml Shampoo and Conditioners
We’ve decided to say goodbye to our 70ml shampoo and conditioners for now due to low demand.
This allows us to focus on our more popular products and exciting new changes that are coming very soon!
If you currently sell these, be sure to order now while stocks last.
Currently Unavailable from OCS
Clarify Shampoo and Control Texture are currently unavailable (or low in stock, depending on your market) due to discontinued raw materials.
We are working to find an alternative ingredient for the Clarify Shampoo, but in the meantime…
Reach for the Charcoal!
Charcoal Shampoo is a gentler but equally effective way to prepare the hair before colour and treatment services, and it’s great before a perm too.
We’ve already found a replacement for the discontinued Texture ingredient and the revised formulation is on stability. Feedback from our testers is that it’s better than before with less stickiness and better hold.
The new and improved Control Texture will be back in stock in the New Year. We’ll let you know when it’s ready to go.
Update on Creamy Products

We promised we'd keep you updated, and we're pleased to announce that we've returned to our old-school method of formulating creamy products which has rectified the consistency issues we were experiencing. Thank you so much for bearing with us whilst we worked through this.
A Note on Creamy Product Consistency

You may have noticed lately that some of our conditioners and cream activators are runnier than usual and we wanted to explain. When we moved to our new premises a year or so back we got a new machine which is causing us a few consistency issues.
We can assure you that the runnier products contain exactly the same ingredients, sit at the same pH and pass all the same efficacy tests and we are working hard to bring the thicker consistency back.
Please hang in there while we do a bit more tweaking to get it righter than right again. In the meantime, for best consistency, give your Cream Activators and Conditioners a wee shake before use. We’ll keep you updated on our progress.
Expiry Date Extension
Organic Colour Systems - September 19th, 2023
Herb UK Ltd. would like to inform Salons that the expiration date indicated on every packaging of OCO00201 Sensitivity Test Sachets Bases 1-6 & OCO00301 Sensitivity Test Sachets Bases 7-11 should be disregarded.
Further laboratory testing of the contents of both sachets has shown the contents to be stable and still within performance parameters and suitable for use for a further 1 year.
Therefore Herb UK Ltd. are extending the expiration date to 09/24 (September 2024), providing it has and continues to be stored appropriately (between 5 - 40°C).
Herb UK Ltd.’s continued commitment to high manufacturing standards means salons and their customers can be confident they are receiving the best, safe and effective hair products available on the market.
A Packaging Update
Organic Colour Systems - September 15th, 2023
As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce our impact on the planet, we’re removing the outer box from our potted products.
The first to step out of its box is Clay; followed shortly after by Define, Sculpt, Texture, and our Power Build and Aqua Boost 90ml Treatments.
We’ve made some minor tweaks to the labels to ensure the information featured on the cartons is still readily available. You can see how we’ve done it with the Clay label below:
